News First tech specs of Pininfarina-styled Vision Gran Turismo revealed

The first technical details on the upcoming Vision Gran Turismo have been disclosed, ahead of the car's full reveal next month at the Geneva Motor Show.
Released alongside a new teaser image (pictured), this new information predominantly focuses on the use of lightweight substances.
For instance, carbon fiber will be used extensively in the car's construction, with the Pininfarina-styled Fittipaldi EF7's chassis and bodywork being made exclusively from the composite material. As a result, the curb weight is claimed to be "around 1,000kgs".
Performance will be provided by a 600hp-plus naturally-aspirated V8 engine that's allegedly been custom-made for use in the Fittipaldi concept car. Likewise, the transmission has also been designed specifically for the vehicle, though more precise details are unknown at time of writing.
Most surprisingly of all, the Fittipaldi EF7 project will have a profound emphasis on safety and user-friendliness. On top of being designed from the outset to be "forgiving and safe for drivers of all skill levels", reducing maintenance costs was also a key concern when envisioning the performance vehicle.
Also perhaps worthy of note are the livery details showcased in the new teaser image. The black-and-gold paintscheme and '5' decal appear to be references to the turbine-powered, transmission-less Lotus 56B as driven by Emerson Fittipaldi in the 1971 Formula One season.
More details and preview images will likely be revealed closer to the Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo by Pininfarina's official reveal on 7th March 2017 at the Geneva Motor Show.
