News New disc-less Xbox One leaks suggest €229.99 price point

Last month we reported on a rumour that suggested a disc-less Xbox One will be coming in May this year. These rumours have now gained some traction thanks to a new leak showing the console’s supposed packaging along with some fresh details.

German technology site WinFuture shared supposed images of the console (seen in the gallery below) which, as the earlier rumour suggested, goes by the name of Xbox One S All-Digital.

Being disc-less you’ll notice a distinct lack of a disc drive, not to mention an eject button. This, of course, means that owners of the console will need to purchase games directly from the Xbox Store or hold a subscription to the Xbox Game Pass which now boasts over 100 titles.

According to WinFuture, the console is expected to be officially announced by Microsoft later today (with pre-orders likely to go live) ahead of its release on May 7 for a price point of €229.99. The console will seemingly come with a 1TB hard drive with the pre-installed games of Sea of Thieves, Minecraft, and Forza Horizon 3.

In February, we reported on the rumour that Microsoft could announce two new Xboxes(which are rumoured to be possible next-gen consoles) codenamed “Lockhart” and “Anaconda”.

According to Jeuxvideo, Lockhart will be a budget console of the two with no disc tray while Anaconda is more powerful with a disc tray.
