Following its initial reveal, Italian developer Milestone has now confirmed RIDE 4 will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC/Steam on October 8, 2020.
The fourth title in the series aims to up the ante in the visuals department. All bike models in RIDE 4 have been created from the ground up using the most advanced technologies and the original CAD and 3D scans of real models to really bring the virtual bikes as close to their real-world counterparts as possible.
Check out the very first Ride 4 trailer below.
The developer tells us that every single bike detail has been carefully reproduced – even the cockpit is a perfect reproduction of the real thing, both in terms of design and dynamic elements. The data on the dashboard changes in real-time including speed, temperature, traction control. Milestone has stated that even the oil bottle vibrates according to the movements of the bike, sweet.
RIDE 4 features a completely renewed Career mode that will see players competing in challenges across the world. Players will be free to choose how to structure their journey from local to international leagues with every decision affecting their career path. The upcoming racer includes the brand-new Endurance mode which comes complete with pit stops for new tyres and fuel management.
The tracks in RIDE 4 will see a “never seen before level of accuracy” thanks to utilising laser and drone scanning techniques which enable the development team to bring their virtual tracks much closer to the real thing.
Finally, RIDE 4’s Multiplayer mode now features dedicated servers which should make the online gameplay smooth and lag-free.
