News TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2 out now on PS4, Xbox One and PC

Today marks the release of TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2 allowing us to play out our fantasies of riding a racing bike at the limit on the iconic Snaefell Mountain course once more.

One of the biggest changes for the much-anticipated sequel is the newly revised physics system which has been created from the ground up for TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2. To provide players with the most realistic simulation possible, the studio enlisted one of the top up-and-coming riders, Davey Todd (the face of TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2), as well as the fastest French rider on the Isle of Man circuit, Julien Toniutti.

As a result, the physics have been rebuilt to mimick realistic bike behaviour by utilising a ‘gyroscopic effect’ which gives the player more precise steering. It’s also worth noting that ‘speed wobbles’ have also been added to forewarn players that they could be about to suffer a fall.

Developer Kylotonn has also invested time into redesigning the brakes and shock absorbers which now respond to all bumps in the road providing essential feedback when riding at breakneck speeds. Of course, this added depth means you’ll need to manage wear and tear of various bike parts: the brakes, suspension, engine and tyre temperatures all need to be monitored if you wish to get the best from your bike.

TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2 adds the location of Ireland which comes complete with several different tracks. Add to this the existing fictional English tracks from the first title and, of course, the gorgeously recreated version of the Snaefell Mountain Course, and you have a decently sized track roster to get stuck into.

Another very welcome addition to TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2 are classic bikes. Players can now get behind the wheel of the following iconic motorcycles: the MV Agusta 500 Three, Norton NRS 588, Suzuki XR69, Yamaha TZ 750 and the Ducati 900.

That’s not all though, the newly added Free Roam mode gives players an open area to train, test their bike set-ups and push their skills to the limit. As well as the ability to free-roam, riders can tackle various challenges including “pursuits and time attacks”.

Finally, TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2 features a revamped Career Mode that will see you racing across a multitude of events with the goal of qualifying for the main TT Isle of Man race at the end of the season.

Players can sign with a team, obtain and upgrade new bikes as well as manage their finances and reputation as they begin on their path towards the big TT race. By completing team objectives players will win special rewards that will help them progress to the next level.

TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2 is available now across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The title will also arrive later on Nintendo Switch.
