You’ll be forgiven for forgetting all about Zordix Racing’s upcoming physics-based off-roader OverPass. Originally scheduled for an October 2019 release, the game was put on hold to improve the physics simulation which wasn’t quite where it needed to be.
Fortunately, the extra time has been put to good use as improvements can clearly be seen in the very latest trailer which highlights all of the vehicles you’ll get to grips with in this intriguing off-road game.
Twenty-three of the 24 vehicles in the game are officially licensed. There are 9 ATVs (quads) and 15 UTVs (buggies) from major manufacturers such as Polaris, Yamaha, Arctic Cat and Suzuki. See them in action in the newly released trailer below.
Overpass will see you negotiating scree slopes, steep inclines and various obstacles on demanding off-road tracks. With a range of varied terrain, strategy becomes a key factor: you’ll need to choose a suitable vehicle and adapt your driving style and adjust throttle inputs as you plot the best routes to the finish line.
The last we heard, Overpass includes multiple game modes: Career, Quick Race, Local Multiplayer (split-screen and hot-seat) and Online Multiplayer for up to eight players. Overpass will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC (on Epic Games Store) on February 27, 2020, and later on Nintendo Switch.
