Today at Gamescom we heard the surprise announcement of SnowRunner – the follow-up to the trucking sim hit MudRunner.
Developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Home Interactive, SnowRunner is being billed as the ultimate off-road experience, made bigger and better with “stunning visuals, advanced simulation physics, massive maps and vehicles, and the introduction of snowy terrain“.
You can get your first glimpse of SnowRunner in the trailer below.
SnowRunner enables you to get behind the wheel of a large roster of customisable heavy-duty vehicles from manufacturers such as Pacific, Navistar and more as you do battle with some of the world’s most dangerous terrain in places such as the frozen Siberia and the rocky mountains of Michigan.
SnowRunner boasts an advanced physics engine and more than 15 new sandbox maps to explore, including some which are a dizzying four times larger than those in the original MudRunner. You’ll go up against snowdrifts, ice, rivers, and yes, mud, as you drive your cargo to its destination as fast as possible.
You can opt to play alone or with friends online in fully-synchronous four-player co-op multiplayer which is sure to test some friendships.
SnowRunner has a current launch window of “2020” across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC through the Epic Games store.
