Xenon Racer fans can put their skills to the test before the game’s release in March thanks to today’s launch of the open beta.
From February 27, 18:00 CET until March 6, 18:00 CET, the futuristic arcade racer will be playable in open beta on Steam, and for the first ever, Xenon Racer is playable with steering wheel support.
You can get a good idea of Xenon Racer’s drifting and boosting mechanics in the recently released showcase video below.
The Beta version includes both Fast Race and Online Multiplayer modes along with the “Tokyo Garden” and “Lake Louise Forest” tracks, both available in reversed variants also. Two different car models are included in the beta, available in Normal and Performance versions. A new car skin, designed especially for the open beta players is also available.
Xenon Racer’s Dubai and Shanghai locations were recently teased in the latest showcase video.
Ten players joining the beta have a chance to win the game on launch by participating in one of the following contests: Leaderboards and Photo Mode. There are prizes for the best leaderboard time on each of the four tracks, and six prizes for the best pictures taken in photo mode “either during the race or in the garage”.
Xenon Racer, developed by 3DClouds, is coming both digitally and physically to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch on March 26.
