News Futuristic racer Antigraviator set for early 2019 console release

Antigraviator is a futuristic anti-gravity racer which saw its release on Steam last June to a fairly mixed response from players.

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners meanwhile have had to exercise patience, however, it looks like that patience is about to pay off. According to a recent blog entry from developer Cybernetic Walrus (don’t you just love that name), it looks like a strong possibility we’ll see the futuristic racer hit consoles early this year.

“As you can expect, our main attention right now is on the console port for PS4 and Xbox One. PS4 is going really well – we’ve submitted a build for certification this week, which we’ve finally got running at 60fps“, read the blog entry. “This was a huge challenge. When we first started porting, the game ran at only 20fps, forcing us to learn a lot about the platforms themselves, as well as Unity!”

The development came up against some challenges when working on the console versions but are now confident the game will be ready to launch on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles in early 2019.

“There’s still lots of testing we need to do on the Xbox One version, making sure that what we’ve achieved on PS4 works just as well on One S and One X”, said a representative of Cybernetic Walrus.
