Ubisoft has announced that The Crew 2 will be available to play for free from December 5-8 across the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC platforms.
Players will gain access to the full game – including the newest “Blazing Shots” update which brings weekly PvE competitions and unique Live Summit events where players can grab rewards based on their leaderboard ranking.
Players who decide to purchase the full game can keep their game progression. The game will be available to buy with a hefty a discount of up to 70% off the full game and Season Pass during the free weekend period.
The Crew 2 released on June 29, 2018, with an updated open-world US map which accommodated the newly added boats and planes which aimed to provide a playground for the players. Sadly, the execution was lacking making for a disjointed experience.
A while back we heard rumblings that Ubisoft has a long-term plan with The Crew so it’s possible we may see The Crew 3 on next-generation hardware. The marriage of a third Crew title with the next iteration of consoles is certainly a mouth-watering proposition given the benefits of an SSD drive that the next PlayStation and Xbox are confirmed to house.
