Previews Need for Speed hands on at Gamescom

Our next gameplay video from Gamescom focuses on the much anticipated Need for Speed. We get our hands on the reboot and try out a few of the game's features including time trials, customisation, and we go for a little cruise too as we soak in the fantastic looking environments.

We briefly look at each of the five racing icons which feature heavily in Need for Speed before taking a quick look at some of the customisation the game has to offer. We then head out of the garage and have a little cruise around to get a good look at the high quality visuals.

After some driving around we take part in a time trial event which tasks us to pass through a number of checkpoints as quickly as possible. Upon completion of the time trial we receive some reputation points along with some cash as expected.

After some more driving around, we take part in another time trial and then return to the garage to take a closer look at the customisation options. We flick through several full body kits, go a bit crazy with the paint options including adding colour to the wheels to complete the appearance of a rather striking looking vehicle.

Need for Speed is currently scheduled to launch for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms on November 3. Check out our 20 minute Need for Speed gaemplay video below and let us know what you make of the game so far.
