DiRT Rally 2.0 will ramp up its focus on its rallycross discipline by offering no less than eight rallycross tracks at launch with more to come post-launch.
The officially licensed game of the FIA World Rallycross Championship will actually offer players the first eight rounds of the World RX Championship when it launches in February. Codemasters has also revealed, via the PlayStation Blog, that after launch more circuits will be added to the title as the rallycross season progresses.
The FIA World Rallycross Championship currently consists of 12 rounds, so it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to think that Codemasters could potentially equal this number, a far cry from the three rallycross tracks found in the original DiRT Rally. We’ve just published the first of our DiRT Rally 2.0 preview coverage (above) with more parts to come shortly. Let us know if you’re excited for more rallycross action in the comments.
