Previews Ace Combat 7 continues to impress

Recently Team VVV got a brief hands on the latest build of Ace Combat 7 – a game we’ve been hotly anticipating for quite some time during it’s publicly protracted development period.

Given the positive impressions for all who have had the privilege to try it out, Ace Combat 7 is also likely to be the definitive action flight game for this generation of consoles.

Graphics are outstanding as is the sense of realism, the sumptuous 60fps visuals putting you right into the intense action. One thing I liked about the Air/Ace Combat series is the feeling it gives you of being a bad-ass top gun pilot but without the detail and qualifications needed to fly the real plane. It cuts out the boring stuff but the core aspects of flight are still there.

This exclusive gameplay demo was recorded with no time for practice, simply diving in and enjoying the action. Both missions focused on air to ground combat with the second mission featuring a tricky canyon flight taking out SAM targets with some deft manoeuvres. The time was limited but it was certainly enough to whet my appetite for the full game when it is released on 18th January 2019 and on PC 1st February 2019.
