Our Review
Summary
DriveClub Bikes is an excellent expansion that puts the fun back into bike racing games. For DriveClub devotees, it’s a brand new experience and an exhilarating ride, but the amount of content bundled in the package makes it equally enticing as a standalone game for bike racing fans new to DriveClub. Not only is DriveClub Bikes one of the best surprises of 2015, it’s easily the best bike game in years – not a bad achievement for a car racing game add-on.

According to Sony, DriveClub, all of its DLC and the spin-off DriveClub Bikes and Drive Club VR games will be removed from the PlayStation Store on 31st August 2019, at 23:59pm British Summer Time. NewsEvolution Studios recently signed off their development of Driveclub with the unexpected release of 15 VR tracks for the base game. The update, which I might add is completely free, enables players who don't own a PSVR headset to try out the 15 additional tracks. We of course jumped on Driveclub to see the tracks […]
NewsContinuing with our Driveclub VR coverage we head to our favourite Nakasendo track. Driving the McLaren 650S, we once again share with you a multiscreen viewpoint of the action including a shot of us using the PlayStation VR headset. Normally we would commentate our gameplay videos however here we have decided to share a no […]
NewsDriveclub VR was the first and only racing game to launch with the PlayStation VR last month and of course we were more than eager to get our hands on the final retail version after seeing previews previously. In order to run in the VR medium sacrifices had to of course be made, so don't […]
NewsIt was a sad day when Evolution Studios was shut down earlier this year. DriveClub will always be remembered as one of the best supported racing games of this generation, with a raft of free updates and a superb season pass. And now DriveClub has been given its final farewell with its last ever update. […]
NewsWe take our first look at Driveclub VR using the recently released PlayStation VR (PSVR) headset. We start with a race using the BAC Mono and notice the resolution with distant objects is a little on the blurry side but overall you can't deny that for early VR technology, and considering the PSVR is essentially a […]
NewsThe obvious advantage to attending public game conventions like EGX is that you get to play the latest games ahead of release. The downside? Absurdly long queues mean that your play time will likely be limited to a few minutes. Case in point: this year if you wanted to play Gran Turismo Sport (which […]
PreviewsDriveclub's Senior Music Supervisor Duncan Smith recently took to the PlayStation Blog to announce that there will be a Collector's Edition vinyl soundtrack album for the PlayStation 4 exclusive racer. The double red-vinyl soundtrack album will be available on September 30 and includes not only the original Driveclub score but also the remixed tracks as […]
NewsDriveClub VR was announced last month for the PlayStation VR headset, but no release date was confirmed at the time. However, Sony has now confirmed that DriveClub VR will be released on October 13th, meaning it will join the PlayStation VR's launch line-up. DriveClub VR will be available for $39.99 USD/€39.99, but DriveClub season pass holders will […]
NewsSony has recently announced they will be throwing in a free demo disc with the PlayStation VR (PSVR) headset when it launches on October 13. Eight games will be included in the demo disc including Driveclub VR which has impressed those that have been lucky enough to try the title. Drivelcub VR will include new tracks […]
NewsDriveclub VR was officially announced a few days back at Gamescom following the Japan leak last month. David Jackson from PlayStation Access got a hands on with the VR title at Gamescom and was very impressed from the off stating “it looks incredible in VR” and “it's like being in a real car”. NewsWe already knew it was coming from (last month's Japan leak was a bit of a give away), but today at Gamescom Sony officially announced DriveClub VR for PlayStation VR, confirming a release for later this year. Judging from the box art released, DriveClub VR appears to be a standalone release rather than an add-on […]
NewsSony have confirmed that Driveclub VR will release at the same time as the PlayStation VR headset in Japan. The virtual reality version of Driveclub is said to contain a collection of new tracks according to Driveclub's former Director Paul Rustchynsky (you can see his tweet below) along with realistic 3D audio. The new tracks […]
NewsWe fire up the rather brilliant bikes expansion for Driveclub and go for a ride at Kobago, Japan. Riding the Ducati 1098R from the first-person viewpoint was as thrilling as ever and the bike changed direction effortlessly on demand making the experience just as fun now as it was when the expansion first launched. We […]
NewsDespite the recent closure of Evolution Studios, the dev team that brought us Driveclub among other racing classics, it looks as though we may still be in line for a VR version of the PlayStation 4 exclusive racer. The ratings board ESRB have recently rated “Driveclub VR” for the PlayStation 4 thus confirming its existence […]
NewsWe take Driveclub for a spin and try our best to drift a number of cars in wet conditions for some fun. We are far from drift aficionados here at TeamVVV so this was always going to be a challenge with a large chance of failure. Nevertheless we head over to an Indian track which […]
NewsThis month's DriveClub DLC installment is eerily poignant. Afterall, this is most likely the last set of expansions we'll see released for DriveClub following Sony's shutdown of Evolution Studios. And what a sendoff it's getting. The Finish Line Expansion includes two of the fastest supercars on the planet: the Koenigsegg Regera and Jaguar XJ220. Sweedish for “to reign,” the Koenigsegg […]
NewsSay it isn't so: Sony has shut down Evolution Studios, the Runcorn-based racing game developer best known for the PS4 racer DriveClub. Speaking in an official statement, Sony said the closure comes after assessing "short and medium term" plans and deciding to focus on other studios that "already have exciting new projects in development." Sony believes […]
NewsLast month we reported that the Koenigsegg Regera was going to feature in a future racing game. As we predicted, that game is DriveClub – and you can drive the savage Sweedish supercar now. Evolution confirmed that the Regera will debut in DriveClub as part of an upcoming Finish Line DLC expansion coming later this month on […]

The action takes place from the dashboard camera viewpoint and we are using the BMW […]
NewsWe take to the freshly added Old Town 02 course in Driveclub, and give it a play through using a Yamaha R1 bike. The new city track gives us that Project Gotham vibe as we speed past the town sections occasionally using the kerb to help us get around the corners. The helmet camera perspective […]

The main highlight is the debut of six brand new city tracks available for free as part of the update. Evolution hinted at city tracks coming to DriveClub late last year, which caused a lot of […]
