Following on from our interviews with Chief Games Designer Ross Gowing and DiRT Rally 2.0 consultant Jon Armstrong, our latest DiRT Rally 2.0 video gives us a decent look at a preview version of the racer running on a PlayStation 4 Pro.
Driving the Volkswagen Golf GTI from the bonnet perspective, we take on a stage in New Zealand using a racing wheel. One of the first things that hit us was the overall quality of the visuals which have seen a massive leap since last year’s DiRT 4 title.
We were also left impressed by the gorgeous sea view which came into our cone of vision every now and again which really gave the environment a feeling of authenticity.
Getting the most from the front-wheel-drive Golf GTI proved to be very challenging indeed: pushing too hard through the bends can easily force you wide, so we had to find a happy medium to give us a clean but competitive run.
Overall, we are very excited about the release of DiRT Rally 2.0 and keen to see just how much the new tyre model and ground deformation adds to the title – something we’ll only know once we’ve played the game for a decent length of time.
You can view DiRT Rally 2.0 running on a PlayStation 4 Pro, as well as listen to our initial thoughts, in the video below.
