News Games With Gold offering The Crew downloaded 3 million times

Ubisoft CFO Alain Corre has revealed that more than 3 million people downloaded the open-world racer The Crew during its month long appearance on Microsoft's Games With Gold programme which enables players to download various games for free.

Corre has stated that during the month long stay on Games With Gold, The Crew managed to increase its recurrent player count by a very healthy 14,000% or a fifteen-fold increase if you prefer. "A great achievement for a title released 19 months ago," Corre commented.

Adding these 3 million downloads to the existing numbers and The Crew can now boast more than 8 million registered users across all available platforms which are very impressive numbers indeed. 

Here at TeamVVV we were hoping to see an announcement at E3 for a future expansion for The Crew but were left disappointed. Ubisoft have already stated that they have a long term plan for the title and so we believe a new expansion or perhaps a full-blown sequel will be announced soon.
