During his visit to Silverstone documenting this year's grueling GT Academy, Alan stopped by for a chat with F1 and Le Mans winner and Sky TV presenter Johnny Herbert, who was judging this year's crop of young racing hopefuls to discover new talent.
In this in-depth interview, Herbert reflects on this year's Formula One championship and provides an insight into his role as head judge at the GT Academy, including the process of mentoring the drivers and observing their evolution. Herbert also mentored Jann Mardenborough who we interviewed last month, the winner of the 2011 GT Academy who went on to win third place in the Dubai 24 Hour with Nissan.
