Whilst having a test drive of the PS4's flagship racer DriveClub at E3, our cameraman managed to have a chat with Design Director Paul Rutchynsky, a veteran member of Evolution Studios who first worked on WRC: Rally Evolved eight years ago.
Most notably, Paul reveals that the free version available from day one for PlayStation Plus subscribers will adopt a similar setup to free-to-play titles, whereby the core game will be available with the single player and multiplayer gameplay intact with additional cars and tracks available to purchase to expand the game content. It's an interesting new approach for PlayStation Plus games, but it makes you wonder if this will signal the start of a new direction for the service on PS4 with more cutdown free-to-play versions of games with the option to purchase additional content.
