This week saw the announcement trailer for Monster Energy Supercross 5. The popular dirt biking game supporting the US stadium series and introducing various new features such as the Official 2021 Season, 2 Strokes bikes, improvements to the career mode, new ‘Rider Shape System’ and the split screen two player mode, along with new features yet to be revealed. No official screen shots have been supplied, so here is a screen grab for the trailer for your visual pleasure.
Looking at the comments on the various video announcements, such as the official video upload, it is clear that fans do not feel they are being listened to. With various issues highlighted being left unresolved for several years, while the core graphics and gameplay appear to have reached a shelf of sorts. With games looking so similar, as to be virtually identical to the casual onlooker.
Milestone still have a few months to make the difference, but given the somewhat muted release of MXGP (which hasn’t even seen review copies supplied for content) It doesn’t currently fill you with faith for greater improvements. Monster Energy Supercross 5 will be released on 17th March 2022, you can see the latest trailer below.
