A new trailer by Nismo has teased the GT Academy will incorporate at least 30 regions in 2014.
According to the trailer posted by the motorsports arm of Nissan (the major auto manufacturer that's a collaborative partner on the innovative driver talent spotting program), the various GT Academy tournaments across the world this year will cover at least 30 areas, which will collectively incorporate up to 160 countries.
Taking the teaser trailer at face value, it seems that several Gran Turismo gamers will be able to participate in the GT Academy for the first time this year, with countries like Brazil, Australia and Japan apparently set to either be included in a regional GT Academy competiton, or perhaps even have their own bespoke, nation-wide series.
Very few exact details have been confirmed by either Sony Computer Entertainment, Polyphony Digital or the Nissan Motor Company at this stage, though it's anticipated that more information regarding this year's various GT Academy events will be announced in the coming weeks and months.
