Today is the day GT fans worldwide have been waiting for: the release of the first playable demo of Gran Turismo 6 which acts as an entry route for this year's GT Academy 2013, Sony's annual competition that sees veteran GT gamers transform into real life racing drivers in the hope to forge a career in motorsport. .
Our first extended video run-through takes us through events 1 – 11 from the bumper camera perspective, as we progress from the introductory sessions in a slow and steady Nissan Leaf before moving onto a Nissan 350Z and GTR to compete in the GT Academy time trial.

We'll have some more videos and some in-depth impressions of our first Gran Turismo 6 test drive soon, but for now it's safe to say that GT6 is an evolutionary leap from GT5 with notable improvements made to the graphics and physics.
