News You can drive cars from Fast and Furious 8 in Forza Motorsport 7

Forza Motorsport 7 isn't even out yet, but that hasn't stopped Turn10 from revealing the first car pack. Continuing the series' partnership with the Fast and Furious franchise, those who buy either the Forza Motorsport 7 Deluxe or Ultimate Edition, which will be available at the earlier date of September 29th, will get access to a free car pack featuring some of thed star cars from Fast and Furious 8 (or 'Fate of the Furious', as it's known in the US). It will be available to purchase separately for owners of the standard game for $9.99 (£7.49) when it's released on October 3rd.
Featuring 10 cars from Fast and Furious 8, one of the main highlights has to be the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, which makes its racing game debut in Forza Motorsport 7. It's currently the fastest production car in the world with a 0-60 mph time of 2.3 seconds thanks to its supercharged 6.2-liter V8. This is the same modified Demon that lead character Dominic Toretto drove in the film, but we suspect the stock version of the car will be added to the game at some point in a future car pack.
Other highlights include the 1968 Dodge "Ice" Charger that featured in the climactic snow chase, the 1951 Chevrolet Fleetline Special from the opening Cuba street race, and the 1971 Plymouth GTX that featured in the main New York city chase.

While being able to drive cars that featured in the film in Forza Motorsport 7 is a nice novelty, we can't help but question why they weren't made available in Forza Horizon 3. An open world environment with roads and dirt tracks seems far more suitable for some of these vehicles than race tracks for players who want to replicate scenes from the film.
In other Fast & Furious-related news, Slightly Mad Studios is apparently working on a new game based on the franchise according to CEO Ian Bell, who let the news slip during a stream of Project CARS 2.
